MY DAILY SUNSCREEN: INNISFREE OAT MILD MOISTURE SUNCREAM REVIEW

Hi everyone, today I'm reviewing the Innisfree Oat Mild Moisture Sun Cream. It's part of their Superfoods line. As I'm sure you know, oat is really soothing for the skin. I'm not quite sure what percentage of oat is actually in this sun cream but nonetheless, it's an excellent product.

Sunscreen is important. By now you've probably heard a billion YouTubers/ Bloggers tell you the same thing. I know that through my early twenties, I was really lax about sun protection. I depended on my bb cream's sun protection. Now that I'm starting to see several sunspots, especially around my eyes, I've been trying to take better care of my skin.

One of the reasons why I didn't use sun screen in the past was because I couldn't get past 1) sunscreen scent 2) texture of most sunscreens 3) how oily they made me and 4) how they usually ball up my bb cream. I think I may have found one that does not do any of the above and with SPF 50 + PA+++, I think we're pretty much getting the most coverage possible.

PACKAGING

Like most of their products, the Innisfree sun cream comes in simple packaging with a white tube and semi-opaque lid. You can really control the amount of product squeezed out and cut the tube when you're trying to scrape the last bit out. 

TEXTURE

The texture of this sun cream leans more on the thicker side. Because true to it's name of "Mild Moisture", it's doesn't seem very emollient. I usually experience some difficult trying to spread this out onto dry skin because it will patch up and become somewhat resistant. Try using this on freshly moisturized skin and you won't experience a problem. 

SCENT

Unlike most sunscreen that has the traditional sunscreen scent, Moil Moisture Sun Cream has a clean, slightly citrusy scent. It smells nice and not overly fragrant. After initial application, you really can't smell it.

PERFORMANCE

Because the sun cream leans on the thicker side, it can leave behind a white cast even after being spread out. Once I put bb cream or foundation on top, it doesn't really show though. One of the things I love about it is that it doesn't interfere with my makeup at all. It doesn't make my skin oilier nor drier and just sits so well. In fact, I think due it's slightly thicker texture, it acts like a primer in that it holds my foundation in place and prevents any slippage. The downside of this is that, even if you wore this on its own, you have to use a cleanser to massage the cream off. It really will stick to your skin.

In terms of whether or not it's effective in protecting my skin damage, only time will tell. Although there's a lot of UV reflections from the snow here, I haven't really felt any skin irritations and with SPF 50 +, I don't feel as if I need to reapply it as often as SPF 30+.

It's pretty clear to say that I really, really like this product. I will definitely repurchase it before I run out of my current tube. If you've got any questions, please leave it in the comments!

[REVIEW] MISSHA M MATT ROUGE IN MBR01 MAPLE LATTE

A while back Missha collaborated with Line to create a series of really cutely packaged makeup products. I was so busy at that time that I completely missed out on it. Lucky, the colours from the collaboration was part of their permanent line. Though, not as cute, I've finally gotten my hands on Missha's Maple Latte in their original packaging. Remember my review on the Missha M Glossy Lip Rouge? The packaging is identical so it's got a friend now :) Although the packaging is mostly plastic, it's got a real sturdy feel and weight to it. It's one of those caps that you know you can count on not to fall off and make a mess in your purse. I also really appreciate that the lipstick twists all the way. No one want's lipstick all over the cap, especially a clear one.

 The colour sticker at the top shows the colour of the lipstick. 

and... also on the bottom of the lipstick. It's great if you store your lipsticks upside down. You'll know exactly what colour it is.

The bullet of the lipstick is pretty accurate in colour to the stickers and the swatches. Although it falls in the Matt categories of the Missha M lip rouges, it's got a bit of a cream finish. It dries down to a matte eventually though. 

Maple Latte is usually described as a pumpkin brown. I agree with it completely. It's quite warm with just a tiny hint of red, brown, and orange. However, the strangest thing is that in certain lighting, it pulls a slight mauve on me. I've seen this happen on Camera and the promotional picture as well. Where does the mauve come from?! Maple Latte is definitely more of a fall colour, though you can wear it year round. The warmth of the colours reminds me of Maple leaves and the name "Latte" reminds me of Pumpkin Spice Latte. None the less, it's a beautiful, wearable daily colour.  

With one swipe, there is pure pigmentation. I wouldn't say that the lipstick is moisturizing as it can tug just the slightest if you're lips are dry but it's not drying at all either. On my lips, it lasted pretty really well despite transferring onto napkins.

Overall, I really like this lipstick. The packaging is classy and sturdy, the colour is unique and the formula is great. I am definitely considering getting other colours from this line.

[SWATCHES] MISSHA EYE FIT SWATCHES: FRENCH ROASTING, MOCHACCINO, COCOA DRIZZLE AND SPICE WOOD

A few months back, I purchased 3 of the Missha Eye Fit Stick Shadows, well... I've just purchased four more. These are seriously amazing and great for the daily person on-the-go. Just throw these in the bag, no need for brushes or sharpeners. These are so smooth and long lasting that at this rate I might just need all the colours.

I find these really convenient as they're easy to use and also very long lasting. They don't budge on me nor do they tug! If you want to read my original review, please click here.

Since my previous review, I've noticed that they're now selling this on the U.S. Missha website. There are some colours on here that I didn't see from the Korean websites. I purchased mine from Testerkorea.

The four colours that I purchase are: Spice Wood, Cocoa Drizzle, French Roasting, and Mochaccino.

I really like how the colour is on the end of the pencil. I store them upside down so that I know which colour I want. Did I mention these are twist ups? No need for a sharpener!

French Roasting: a matte dark brown

Cocoa Drizzle: A soft coffee brown with noticeable gold glitter

Spice Wood: a warm tone brown with slight sheen

Mochaccino: a cool tone gold -brown with slight sheen.

My thoughts on these haven't changed at all from my original review. They're amazing, budget friendly and out perform all my other shadow sticks. HIGHLY recommend!

[REVIEW] Innisfree Lip Treatment Tint: Orange in Honey

Earlier this year, I reviewed Innisfree Treatment Tint in Cherry in Honey (review here). I really enjoyed the product at that time even though the weather was heating up. Since we are now in the middle of winter in Canada and now my lips are crazy dry, I knew that this was one of the only products that could save them. Sadly, my Cherry in Honey tint had started to separate, though it was only obvious when I shook the tube. I decided it was time to buy Orange in Honey.

Normally I stay away from my oranges because they make my skin look shallow. I've seen Orange in Honey on some YouTubers and it wasn't so bad so made the purchase. Like the Cherry in Honey, Orange in Honey is a slight tinted, slightly gooey, liquid. It adds even less colour than the Cherry in Honey and really looks more like a gloss. Like the name suggests, lip treatment, it works wonders on dry lips. I really felt the product sink into my lips and really comfort them. The best part? It's not sticky.  Hair does occasionally get stuck on it, but I can stick smack my lips together without problem.

Like Cherry in Honey, this product wears well for a couple of hours before fading off. While with Cherry in Honey, a slight pink tint is left behind, Orange in Honey did not leave anything.

I apologize for getting the names backwards. Here you can see that my Cherry in Honey has deepened over time and has started to separate. As I like the colour much more than Orange in Honey, I've ordered a backup. I think this also shows that this product isn't the best in terms of preservation. I only opened Cherry in Honey in March!

On my lips Orange in Honey slightly mutes down the natural pinkness of my lips as most orange colours do. It's more natural and appears like a gloss for everyday makeup. 

If there were more colours in this line, I'd gladly purchase them all. They're fantastic on the moisture front and have done an amazing job at keeping my lips plump and hydrated. As I've tried both colours now, I think I definitely prefer the Cherry in Honey over Orange in Honey as it just adds a bit more of a lively kick to my lips. Both are still lovely and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good bit of moisture in this dry winter.
